  • Hopefully. It makes sense since the map will be larger that more than two players could be able to play it in multiplayer. I don't care how much more time it would take for turns to resolve, it would be great for just chilling with friends.

  • I would walk stark naked through a jungle of broken glass and nettles just to hear CA tell me in norse code that they were considering it.
    People WANT it. The game DESERVES it. CA need to recognise it
  • Even if they made it so that 2 or more people could play for the same faction. This would still make a 2 turn process.
    This way you could have a lord each and split the armies up etc.
    If ya only had 1 lord then when a battle starts it would be like coop mode of gifting units

    Turn length really doesn't matter. People are content to wait for their friends. The only thing they hate is when they need to wait for the sake of waiting. Co-op partners should be able to do things on the same turn or at the very least manage buildings and diplomacy and recruitment while they wait. Time limits are flawed. Beginning turns are quick but what about later on when it'll take a decent amount of time just to go over building upgrades or move armies and agents around? I could see it as an added option at best. At worst, everyone e stops playing MP campaigns.
    But for all we know that's what CA wants anyway. MP support is non-existent at the best of times.

    Except they can't. The mod tools don't allow for that. If it was possible someone would have already done it. I would love if it was possible though. I don't know if it's even possible to make it happen even if CA supplied the tools for modders to use.
  • We are a month away from the release of the game - the most 'hidden' announcement they had about the release of skaven is already out and there is no news about a proper MPC with more players - there is about 0.3% chance at this point that there will be a +3 MPC for Warhammer II and in fact if it won't come out for II I doubt it will come out for III.
    CA doesn't care cause they deem it a waste of cash for them to create it - even with the fact that it will light their multiplayer on fire (in a good sense) - they won't add it cause it doesn't give them extra cash like all the DLC's
    most of their crowd are happy to pay for 3 more units 20$.. so at this point I already gave up on hearing CA doing something smart like adding MPC with +3 players.

    Yeah at this point there is nothing CA could say about multiplayer worth listening to. Any news the give will not be the be the news we want.
  • This would be such a huge thing. Yeah sure many campaigns would not finish if playing with strangers - just like now! No problem / solved by finding actual commited people and chatting with them + adding properly.
    Even just 3 players FFA would be amazing. 2v2 or 1v1v1v1 would of course also be cool, but just ONE MORE and we are off to a great MP time. Turn wait time is nothing when playing with experienced folks who know what they are doing and if in voice chat you can just alt-tab or relax.
    Finally: Let us rename units in HtH! Yes SOME people would try to confuse by naming X into Y, but so what if 2 out of 200 bother with this, if the mood is good you can just call them out on it and ask them not to.
