I though that now was a good time to check the cam shaft end play. Stick a feeler guage on the inner side of the cam, between the cam and the case. My book says.001 to.050 which is a HUGE amount of slop for an evo, just as reference my shovel specs are.001 to.016. This one measured.013 which is pretty good for an older bike I think. Another purpose is to allow fine tuning of the cam(s) without re-grinding or using different cams. The offset will cause the entire cam gear train to be rotated forward or back (depending on which way the offset is installed) at the same point of flywheel rotation. INSTRUCTION SHEET. Rated 5 out of 5 by Medevacpilot from SE-585 in a 2015 CVO 110I've run just about every cam in the post 09 touring bikes. The cam I first put in my 2015 CVO Road Glide Ultra was the SE-259e.These pushed the torque curve too far to the right for the stock setup. The SE-585 puts the curve right between the two. Great highway roll on torque from 2800 to 5000. Very quiet compared to the 259e. I've now built on the 585s with a 58mm throttle body, high flow injectors, lifters, springs, intake and polished and ported heads. The 117 short kit is waiting to be installed. If you're not running your bike past the 5500 rpm range regularly then the SE-585 in my opinion is the best heavy touring cam yet.

The dyno yielded a 10 hp gain and 19.5 more foot pounds of torque. The proof is in the throttle and the response in instantaneous.

do they make se585 that fit 2009 110ci v twin if so what is the part number

Hi Scott1972, If the Performance SE-585 Cam Kit is a direct fitment for your bike and installed by a H-D technician it will not void your warranty. However, if this part is not a direct fitment for your bike and a technician installs it--your warranty may be voided! Hope this helps!

Can I use the 585 cam in a stock 103" FLHTK with a Stage 1 air cleaner and a V&H X-pipe, Rush slip ons? Will use new springs, roller rockers.
